97-year-old Yoga Master Tao Porchon-Lynch Wows the Harvard Business School Crowd!

On Wednesday, September 30th, 2015, 97-year-old Tao Porchon-Lynch shared her wisdom and light at a special event entitled “There is Nothing You Cannot Do: Tao Porchon-Lynch on Oneness & Secrets to Vitality” hosted by the Harvard Business School Club (HBS) of New York. It was held at the UJA Federation on Manhattan’s East Side. Those who are interested in attending Harvard’s business school themselves to obtain an MBA degree should be aware of the admissions deadlines. As students near the end of their college education, they may spend a lot of time preparing for admission. We all know getting into Harvard is no easy task, and it can get quite expensive too. It seems that only hard work and luck can get you in. As for managing the high living cost, affordable, student-friendly housing options in the neighborhood could be explored as an alternative to dorms. Rental agreements and screening formalities may vary depending on the landlord concerned, so take a look at the site here to get a better understanding of the facets involved. On a more philosophical note, it is understood that too much time devoted to studies can lead to missing out on most of the memories of high school. Therefore, as they are in their last year, students are encouraged to make the most of their school experience. It doesn’t matter whether it’s designing high school apparel (refer to this page from Jostens) or taking a memorable trip with friends, every moment should be treasured. Having said that, when it comes to admissions to Harvard, it’s always a good thing to know that you can work with professionals who have first-hand insider knowledge such as Fortuna Admissions found here – https://fortunaadmissions.com/resources/admission-deadlines/.

Open to the public–not just Harvard alums–the event was moderated by Courtney Reagan of CNBC with special introductions from Barrie Moskowitz of the HBS Club (HBS ’92) and me (HBS ’92). Som Chivukula was also instrumental in making the event happen. As usual, Tao wowed the crowd with her amazing life including brandviagra.net stories of marching with Mahatma Gandhi and helping Jews escape the Nazis during World War II. Always with a sense of humor and a bit of mischievousness, Tao had the crowd laughing and in awe.

As I remarked in my introduction, Tao has a very unique perspective as “a famous couture model who could ‘walk like a panther,’ an actress under contract with MGM, a global businesswoman in a world that was not global, a publisher of a wine newspaper for 30 years, co-founder of the American Wine Society and a participant in the beginning of industries such as Napa Valley and TV.” Afterwards, Tao autographed her new book, Dancing Light: The Spiritual Side of Being Through the Eyes of a Modern Yoga Master.
